# The four major business groups in South Korea have pledged to invest nearly $550 billion domestically

Samsung Group stated that its subsidiaries will invest 450 trillion won in South Korea over the next five years for the construction and research and development of artificial intelligence infrastructure. Hyundai Motor Group has committed to invest 125.2 trillion won over the next five years. SK Group reiterated its plan to invest 128 trillion won in artificial intelligence, chips, energy, and biotechnology by 2028. LG Group reaffirmed its investment plan of 100 trillion won from 2024 to 2028, mainly for materials, components, and equipment
