The Hang Seng Index closed at 25,812 points, down 117 points or 0.5%. The Hang Seng Tech Index reported 5,590 points, down 55 points or 1.0%. The National Index fell 32 points or 0.4%, closing at 9,142 points.

Performance of active heavyweight stocks:

Xiaomi Corporation (01810.HK) closed at HKD 39.02, down 4.3%;

Alibaba Group (09988.HK) closed at HKD 155.4, up 0.5%;

Meituan (03690.HK) closed at HKD 98.25, down 0.4%;

Tencent (00700.HK) closed at HKD 622, down 0.2%;

Ping An (02318.HK) closed at HKD 58.1, down 0.2%;
