# HSBC Holdings appoints Steve Hughes as CEO of Banking for Australia and New Zealand

HSBC Holdings (00005.HK) spokesperson stated that Steve Hughes has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Banking for Australia and New Zealand, with the appointment effective from January 1 next year.

The group announced that Antony Shaw will step down as Chief Executive Officer of Banking for Australia and New Zealand at the end of this year, and his future position will be announced later
