# The storm in Japan's long-term bonds continues, with long-term bond yields collectively soaring to decades-high levels

The yield on Japan's 30-year government bonds rose by 2.5 basis points to 3.445%, reaching a record high. The yield on Japan's 20-year government bonds increased by 3 basis points to 2.94%, the highest level since June 1999. The yield on Japan's 10-year government bonds rose by 1.5 basis points to 1.905%, the first increase since 2007.
