# Understanding the Market | CHINA LIT rises over 4%, with a cumulative output of over 120 short dramas in 2025, significantly enhancing production capacity

According to Zhitong Finance APP, China Literature Group (00772) rose over 4%, with a current increase of 4.12%, priced at HKD 33.84, with a transaction volume of HKD 229 million.

In terms of news, on December 11, China Literature Group's official WeChat account released the performance report for short dramas in 2025. According to the report, in 2025, China Literature produced over 120 short dramas, significantly increasing production capacity. Several works, including "Good Luck Sweet Wife," "The Concubine Enters the Game," and "He Ye," received "hit drama" certification from leading platforms, with strong performances across various genres such as contemporary, historical, period dramas, and male-oriented content. Additionally, China Literature Group stated that several short dramas adapted from its IP are set to be released soon, including popular works like "I Really Didn't Want to Rebirth," "I Promise You a Bright Future," "My Wife is Not Right 2," and "The Ultimate Housekeeper."

Huajin Securities stated that according to iiMedia Consulting data, the market size of China's micro-short drama market will reach RMB 67.79 billion in 2025, an increase of 34.40% year-on-year, and it is expected that the market size of China's online micro-short dramas will exceed RMB 150 billion by 2030. In the past, single-genre light dramas dominated the market, but with industry development and improved user aesthetics, diverse and innovative genres have emerged, making brand IP customization mainstream. From January to August 2025, short video platforms launched a total of 233 brand collaboration micro-short dramas, with 87 new brands entering the market for the first time, and the brand reinvestment rate exceeded 60%, showing a significant year-on-year increase
