# Report: Intel will acquire chip company SambaNova for approximately $1.6 billion

According to informed sources, Intel Corporation is in advanced negotiations to acquire SambaNova Systems Inc. for approximately $1.6 billion (including debt). The deal involving SambaNova could be finalized as early as next month. Acquiring SambaNova will provide Intel with a platform to help expand its artificial intelligence product line.
