# NIO has built 500 charging and battery swapping stations in Shanghai

On December 14th, the Shanghai Pudong Star River Bay Hotel station was put into operation, bringing the total number of charging and battery swapping stations deployed by Nio in Shanghai to 500. As of now, Nio has built a total of 198 battery swapping stations and 302 charging stations in the Shanghai area. Data shows that this network can provide over 10,000 battery swapping services and nearly 5,000 charging services daily, with an average daily power supply exceeding 600,000 kilowatt-hours. In terms of network coverage, the coverage rate of "electric area housing" with battery swapping stations within 3 kilometers of Nio users' residences has increased from about 40% in 2020 to 95%.
