# The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield fell more than 3 basis points in the week when the U.S. CPI data was released

On Friday (December 19), at the New York close, the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury rose by 2.74 basis points to 4.1490%, down 3.50% for the week. The yield on the 2-year Treasury rose by 2.34 basis points to 3.4834%, down 3.88 basis points for the week; the yield on the 30-year Treasury rose by 2.43 basis points to 4.8272%, down 1.73 basis points for the week. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year Treasuries rose by 0.401 basis points to +66.356 basis points, up 0.377 basis points for the week. The yield on the 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) rose by 3.40 basis points to 1.8902%, up 0.45 basis points for the week; the yield on the 2-year TIPS rose by 0.66 basis points to 1.1618%, up 5.10 basis points for the week; the yield on the 30-year TIPS rose by 3.09 basis points to 2.6134%, up 1.00 basis point for the week
