Now Mom Is 'Fighting for Her Life,' Family Says ### NEED TO KNOW - A house fire on Dec. 25 in Kingsport, Tenn., killed sisters Riley, 11, and Maggie Blevins, 9, authorities said - Their mother, Nicole Blevins, is currently in an ICU burn unit, according to her sister, Lacie Hafley - "Right now, she has nothing," Hafley wrote in a GoFundMe A Christmas morning house fire in Tennessee killed two young sisters and left their mother "fighting for her life," authorities and relatives said. The blaze happened at 6:15 a.m. local time on Thursday, Dec. 25, in Kingsport, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office said, according to CBS affiliate WJHL and the _Johnson City Press._ The two children who died in the fire were identified by authorities as sisters Riley Blevins, 11, and Maggie Blevins, 9, the outlets reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. In a Saturday, Dec. 27, Facebook post, the Addington Agency, a real estate business in Bristol, identified the children’s mother as Nicole Blevins, who is an agent for the company. “Nicole is currently in the burn unit, and our hearts are with her as she faces both physical recovery and a level of loss no parent should ever have to carry,” the company wrote in the post. Lacie Hafley, who is Blevins’ sister and the girls’ aunt, shared in a GoFundMe she organized that the "unimaginable tragedy" has left her Nicole to lose "everything" in the fire, including her home and car, as well as her "two only daughters." “My sister survived but suffered severe burns and is currently in the ICU burn unit in North Carolina, where she is fighting for her life," Hafley continued. "Her road ahead will be long and painful —physically, emotionally, and financially." “Right now, she has nothing. No home to return to. No belongings. And she will face overwhelming medical expenses, rehabilitation, travel costs, and future living needs on top of the unbearable grief of losing her children,” she added. As of Tuesday, Dec. 30, the GoFundMe for Blevins has raised nearly $200,000. Riley and Maggie attended Boone Creek Elementary School, the _Johnson City Press_ reported. Washington County Superintendent Jerry Boyd told the outlet that he had been in communication with the family about the "terrible, terrible tragedy." In an email to PEOPLE on Tuesday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) said it is assisting the sheriff's office in the investigation. **Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.** “Hold your loved ones close today, and please keep Nicole and her family in your prayers!” the Addington Agency concluded in its Facebook post.
