# The Chinese government only approves the purchase of H200 chips under special circumstances? The Ministry of Commerce responds

On January 22, the Ministry of Commerce held a regular press conference. A reporter asked: There are reports that informed sources revealed the Chinese government has informed some technology companies that it will only approve their purchase of H200 chips under special circumstances.
