The regulatory company of the exchange announced this on Friday (January 23), with the deadline for the public consultation set for February 13. In addition to the recommendation made by the Securities Market Review Committee last November to reduce the minimum trading lot for stocks priced above SGD 10 and below SGD 100 from 100 shares to 10 shares, SGX also plans to reduce the minimum trading lot for stocks priced above SGD 100 to 1 share. As of now, there are no stocks on the exchange priced above SGD 100. In Singapore dollars, the three stocks with the highest prices are Jardine Matheson Holdings (JMH), Lonza, which is listed secondarily in Singapore, and DBS Group. #### Further Reading SGX plans to reduce the minimum trading lot to 10 shares to allow more retail investors to participate in the stock market Which stocks can be bought if the minimum trading lot is reduced to 10 shares? SGX pointed out that reducing the standard board lot can lower the minimum investment required, making it easier for investors to buy high-priced stocks, thereby expanding investor participation and increasing trading activity. The head of the stock department at SGX, Huang Yao Long, said: "Currently, about 30% of trading activity comes from stocks priced above SGD 10. By reducing the standard board lot, we will lower the minimum investment amount from thousands of dollars to hundreds of dollars, making this type of investment more accessible, especially for young retail investors." In addition, after a regular review of the stock market structure, the Singapore Exchange regulatory company also proposed to eliminate the requirement that the minimum bid size for securities and futures contracts traded in Hong Kong dollars, Renminbi, or Japanese yen must be consistent with their respective markets ### 相关股票 - [SGX (S68.SG)](https://longbridge.com/zh-CN/quote/S68.SG.md) ## 相关资讯与研究 - [Grants to help Singapore listed firms value up now open for applications](https://longbridge.com/zh-CN/news/272815731.md) - [SGX RegCo Proposes Smaller Board Lot Sizes to Boost Access to Higher-Priced Stocks](https://longbridge.com/zh-CN/news/273443412.md) - [Is the stock market about to crash?
