# Reports indicate that Anthropic has sought billions of dollars in collaboration with Apple

According to reports, AI startup Anthropic had discussions with Apple to provide the large language model needed for the reconstruction of its Siri intelligent assistant, seeking to reach a multi-year cooperation agreement worth billions of dollars annually. However, negotiations stalled last summer due to issues related to potential cooperation terms.

It is reported that Apple is also in contact with OpenAI regarding similar cooperation, which could potentially extend its earlier partnership with the ChatGPT developer. The report indicates that Apple ultimately chose Google's Gemini model because it found the software's performance significantly improved, and Google agreed to adopt a financial cooperation framework that Apple deemed reasonable. However, OpenAI will still provide answers for more complex queries posed by Siri users
