# Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege approved for China

On Monday, Ubisoft’s tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, operated in China by Tencent, was approved, making it one of five imported games cleared in the first batch of 2026 licenses. For January, 182 games were approved, including 177 domestic titles. The game, known for its 5v5 asymmetric attack-and-defense gameplay, full-environment destruction mechanics, and high-tech equipment such as breaching tools and drones, has built a large global fanbase. Tencent will handle localization, voice-over work, and preparation for domestic esports events ahead of its launch in China. Tencent has not yet announced a specific launch date for the Chinese market. \[Technode Reporting\]
