The company's EREVs received only minor updates in 2025, while competitors aggressively equipped their EREVs with battery packs as large as 80 kWh, delivering experiences comparable to battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Last month, 36Kr reported that Li Auto is refocusing on its most certain business, with an overall strategic direction to reclaim leadership in the EREV segment. According to 36Kr, the company would first prioritize upgrading the Li L9 in 2026, featuring a battery capacity exceeding 70 kWh and a single-charge range surpassing 400 kilometers. Li Auto's new i-series BEV models continue to show weak performance months after launch.
