# Shanghai Municipal Party Secretary meets with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, both sides hope to deepen practical cooperation in finance, culture, and other fields

During a meeting with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during his visit to China, Shanghai Municipal Party Secretary Chen Jining expressed a willingness to work with the UK side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen complementary advantages in areas such as financial services, biomedicine, and green development, deepen exchanges and monitoring in culture, creativity, and education, and enhance cultural exchanges and personnel interactions, making greater local contributions to promoting China-UK cooperation and exchanges.

Rishi Sunak expressed hope to enhance understanding and mutual trust through increased exchanges and interactions between the two sides, deepen practical cooperation in areas such as finance, technology, culture, creativity, and addressing climate change, and better benefit the people of both countries
