# February 6th Midday Review: ChiNext opened lower but rose to gain 0.65%, with chemical and robotics concept stocks collectively strengthening

The market opened lower in the morning but rose throughout the day, with all three major indices turning positive. Traditional Chinese medicine stocks surged at the opening, with TY PHAR. and Hansen Pharmaceutical hitting the daily limit. Chemical stocks strengthened collectively, with CZDH and RTGF also reaching the daily limit. Robotics concept stocks performed actively, with XCC and LMC hitting the daily limit. On the downside, consumer stocks such as liquor, tourism, and retail fell, with Huangtai Liquor hitting the daily limit down, and Baida Group and Guoguang Chain dropping over 7%. More stocks rose than fell, with about 3,700 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets in the green, and a total turnover of 1.39 trillion in the morning session. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.11%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.65%, and the ChiNext rose 0.65%
