Software stocks were hit especially hard, with the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) falling to its most oversold level since 2018. However, dip-buyers stepped in today, with Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), Palantir (PLTR), and Broadcom (AVGO) all showing sizable gains. ## **Consumer Sentiment Rises to Six-Month High** Meanwhile, the University of Michigan's preliminary Index of Consumer Sentiment for February rose to a six-month high of 57.3, above the estimate of 55.0. In addition, consumers now expect year-ahead inflation of 3.5%, down from 4.0%. Long-term inflation expectations edged higher for a second consecutive month to 3.4% from 3.3%.
