# Malaysia Q4 Construction Output Rises the Least in 2 Years

Malaysia’s construction activity increased 10.3% year-on-year in Q4 2025, following a 10.6% growth in the previous period.

It marked the slowest pace since Q4 2023, as growth slowed for residential buildings (5.9% vs 11.6% in Q3), accounting for 22.6% of the total; and civil engineering projects (3.6% vs 8.9%), contributing the largest share at 34.9%.

Meanwhile, non-residential buildings accelerated (18.6% vs 10.0%), with a 30.1% share; alongside special trade activities (21.1% vs 15.3%), making up 12.4% of the total.

For the whole year, construction output expanded 12.5%
