# Saudi-backed Humain invests $3 billion in Musk's xAI

According to a statement released on Wednesday, the Saudi-backed artificial intelligence company Humain invested $3 billion in xAI, the artificial intelligence startup founded by Elon Musk.

This investment comes just before xAI was acquired by Musk's space exploration company SpaceX, with the statement noting that Humain has become a "significant minority shareholder" in xAI. Its shares will be converted into SpaceX shares.

This investment strengthens the ties between Musk and Humain. Founded last year, Humain aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a powerhouse in artificial intelligence. The two companies plan to develop a 500-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia
