# During the Spring Festival Golden Week, the number of visitors to Hong Kong increased by 14% year-on-year, with hotel occupancy rates generally reaching 90%

The cross-departmental working group for festive arrangements, led by Secretary for Administration Eric Wu, stated that the nine-day Mainland Spring Festival Golden Week (from February 15 to 23) concluded successfully yesterday, with smooth arrangements for receiving travelers. According to figures from the Immigration Department, approximately 1.77 million visitors came to Hong Kong during the Golden Week, an increase of 14% compared to the same period last year. About 1.5 million of these visitors were from the Mainland, also up 14% year-on-year, while approximately 270,000 were from non-Mainland sources, similarly increasing by 14%.

During the Golden Week, the most used entry point for Mainland travelers was the High-Speed Rail West Kowloon, followed by the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line.

During this period, around 2,400 Mainland inbound tour groups brought nearly 84,000 visitors to Hong Kong, with overnight trips accounting for about 74%. The number of tour groups increased by approximately 9% compared to the eight-day Spring Festival Golden Week last year. Overall, the order of the tour groups was good, and hotel occupancy rates generally reached 90% during the Golden Week
