This significant agreement marks an important victory for AMD in its competition to catch up with NVIDIA. Meta will procure AMD chips and computers for running artificial intelligence models over a five-year period starting in the second half of 2026. AMD CEO Lisa Su stated that this series of transactions is valued at "hundreds of billions of dollars" per gigawatt. The two companies stated that as part of the agreement, Meta will receive warrants to purchase 160 million shares of AMD stock in phases.
