# Innovative Non-Invasive Cancer Treatment Technique Highlighted in Tokyo

Zhou Kaixuan, a board member of the Li Ka Shing Foundation and co-founder of Horizons Ventures, recently delivered a speech at Tokyo University of Science. According to Ming Pao, Zhou discussed the significance of a non-invasive cancer treatment technique called 'Histotripsy,' co-invented by Xu Zhen, a 'Li Ka Shing Distinguished University Professor' at the University of Michigan's Department of Biomedical Engineering. This technique uses focused ultrasound to liquefy diseased tissue with precision guided by data and imaging.
