# PLUG Earnings: Plug Power Stock Surges after Strong Q4 Results

Shares of Plug Power (PLUG) surged in after-hours trading after the firm reported fourth-quarter 2025 revenue of $225.2 million and an adjusted earnings per share loss of $0.06, an improvement from an adjusted loss of $0.29 in the same quarter last year and a beat compared to analysts' consensus estimates. On a GAAP basis, the company posted a loss of $0.63 per share, compared to $1.48 a year earlier.

For the full year, revenue reached approximately $710 million, representing 12.9% year-over-year growth. Notably, Plug also achieved positive gross margin in the fourth quarter after years of losses. More precisely, the company generated $5.5 million in gross profit, or 2.4% of sales, compared to a gross margin loss of 122.5% in the prior year period. These improvements were supported by higher equipment sales, pricing increases, lower service costs, and manufacturing efficiencies. Meanwhile, Plug ended 2025 with $368.5 million in unrestricted cash and reduced operating cash burn by more than 26%.

The company also announced plans to generate over $275 million through asset monetization and restructured debt to lower interest expenses and extend maturities. Although Plug recorded approximately $763 million in mostly non-cash impairment and restructuring charges in the fourth quarter, management noted that these actions should reduce future depreciation expenses and potentially unlock asset value over time.

Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on PLUG stock based on two Buys, three Holds, and one Sell assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. Furthermore, the average PLUG price target of $1.95 per share implies 7.7% upside potential. However, it's worth noting that estimates will likely change following today's earnings report.
