# Microsoft assists in dismantling global hacker services

Microsoft stated that the company assisted in dismantling a large criminal platform that specialized in selling ready-made online hacking toolkits to novice cybercriminals. Microsoft announced on Wednesday that this operation involved the seizure of over 300 domains, including some fraudulent website login pages. Microsoft also collaborated with cloud service provider Cloudflare to block the digital infrastructure supporting phishing tools. Countless hackers had used these tools to lure targets into clicking malicious links. Approximately 20 companies and organizations participated in this operation, including cybersecurity firms Proofpoint and Intel 471, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, and the European law enforcement agency Europol. During the operation, Europol coordinated with law enforcement officials from Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom to jointly seize the relevant domain names
