# Industry Weekly Report: U.S. API crude oil inventories decreased by approximately 1.7 million barrels last week

According to data from the American Petroleum Institute (API), last week, **U.S. API crude oil inventories decreased by 1.678 million barrels**, compared to an increase of 5.647 million barrels the previous week.

Last week, API Cushing crude oil inventories decreased by 370,000 barrels, with the previous value being an increase of 1.54 million barrels.

Last week, API refined product gasoline inventories decreased by 1.838 million barrels (previous value: -3.286 million barrels), and distillate inventories decreased by 2.257 million barrels (previous value: +516,000 barrels)
