# Is there a risk behind the explosive popularity of "small crayfish"? Baidu engineer: Ordinary users should be cautious with local deployment

Today, Baidu provided on-site support at the "Lobster Market" event, with engineers from Baidu Intelligent Cloud assisting users in completing the deployment installation, model configuration, and skill unlocking of OpenClaw. Regarding the safety concerns surrounding OpenClaw, the engineer admitted that ordinary users face significant security risks if they use OpenClaw extensively. "The most typical situation is when users attempt to install it on their local computers. When 'Little Lobster' performs operations, it may accidentally trigger commands like 'RM' (remove), directly deleting files that cannot be recovered, resulting in irreversible losses." He therefore advised, "Ordinary users should avoid installing it on local core devices at this stage; this scenario is more suitable for professional technicians with risk management capabilities."
