# Flash Review | U.S. GDP Data Significantly Revised Downward, "Stagflation" Risk May Return

U.S. inflation remains "high," and the latest data sounds the alarm again.

On March 13th local time, the U.S. Department of Commerce released data showing that the core PCE price index rose 3.1% year-on-year in January, marking the largest increase in nearly a year.

The revised GDP data released at the same time indicated that the annualized quarter-on-quarter growth rate of the U.S. real GDP in the fourth quarter of 2025 was 0.7%, significantly down from the initial estimate of 1.4%.
