# Apple sees sales growth in China

Counterpoint Research released data on Thursday (March 19) showing that in the first nine weeks of this year, sales of Apple Inc., the iPhone manufacturer, grew by 23% in China, the world's largest smartphone market, while the overall market declined by 4% during the same period.

The research indicates that Apple's growth is attributed to e-commerce discounts and the eligibility of its base model iPhone 17 for government subsidies. Counterpoint stated that Apple's "strong control" over its supply chain allows it to better absorb memory chip costs, thereby maintaining stable prices while competitors raise theirs
