# On the 20th anniversary of Twitter's first tweet, its NFT sold for over $2.91 million.

On March 21, 2006, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey typed "just setting up my twttr" on a laptop, ushering in the era of 140-character tweets. Now 20 years old, this first tweet, with its extremely simple content, has been featured on Wikipedia's timeline, in the Computer History Museum archives, and even has its own Guinness World Record. In March 2021, Jack Dorsey sold a 4000 NFT version of this first tweet for $2,915,835.47 to Sina Estavi, CEO of the oracle system Bridge Oracle, but the price subsequently plummeted. (cnBeta)
