# Wing, a subsidiary of Google, will begin drone delivery services in the San Francisco Bay Area

Wing, a drone delivery startup under Google, will begin residential delivery services in the San Francisco Bay Area in the coming months.

The company focuses on accelerating "last-mile" delivery and states that the launch of services in San Francisco is part of its nationwide expansion plan.

Wing has reported completing over 750,000 home deliveries in cities including Houston, Atlanta, and Dallas to date.

Founded in 2012, Wing was initially part of Google's "moonshot factory," Google X. It first conducted tests at Google's campus in Mountain View before expanding to other communities in the Bay Area
