# Economic Daily: Cracking Down on E-commerce "AB Goods" Requires Genuine Effort

The article points out that the chaos of "AB goods" in e-commerce is not an isolated incident in a particular field, but rather an industry-wide persistent problem under the platform's traffic rules. Only when traffic is no longer "solely driven by low prices" can quality truly return to its rightful meaning of "good products at reasonable prices." The "Rules on Price Behavior of Internet Platforms," jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Cyberspace Administration of China, will be officially implemented on April 10. On one hand, regulatory authorities should refine relevant standards, unblock complaint and reporting channels, and form a long-term restraint mechanism and strong deterrent. On the other hand, platforms should also position themselves correctly, proactively adjust their traffic allocation mechanisms, incorporate quality, service, and user reputation into core weighting, and strengthen their review and supervision responsibilities for merchants.
