# Guangdong: Anchoring Key Areas of Future Industries Such as Quantum Technology and Embodied Intelligence to Strengthen Frontier and Disruptive Technological Innovation

The "2026 Action Plan for Promoting the Coordinated and Integrated Development of Manufacturing and Service Industries in Guangdong Province" proposes to step up the high-end development of manufacturing. Focusing on emerging industries such as next-generation electronic information, intelligent connected vehicles, intelligent robots, integrated circuits, new energy, new materials, aerospace, and biomedicine, it will implement industrial innovation projects, integrally promote the construction of innovation facilities, technological research and development, and product iteration and upgrading, and accelerate the construction of platforms for R&D and design, pilot verification, and supply chain services. Anchoring key areas of future industries such as quantum technology, embodied intelligence, sixth-generation mobile communication, cell and gene therapy, brain science and brain-computer interfaces, hydrogen energy, advanced nuclear energy, and deep-sea exploration, it will strengthen frontier and disruptive technological innovation. It will implement tiered cultivation actions for future industries, promote the transformation of disruptive technological innovation achievements, and strive to establish national future industry research institutes and concept verification centers.
