# Ping An: Has actively allocated gold, with a strong trend in new orders in the first quarter

Ping An Insurance (02318.HK) Co-CEO Guo Xiaotao stated at the earnings press conference that the group adheres to long-term investment, and short-term market fluctuations are not important. This year has seen a lot of uncertainties, and the overall capital market has been quite volatile, but he believes that the overall capital market will improve throughout the year and that they can achieve stable returns across cycles.

He pointed out that gold is one of the important asset classes in the overall asset allocation. Since the beginning of last year, they have actively laid out gold assets, which have now reached expected returns.
