# OpenAI completed a $122 billion financing, with a valuation reaching $852 billion

OpenAI has completed a financing round of $122 billion, with the company's valuation reaching $852 billion. This marks the largest financing round for the company to date, supporting its expensive investments in chips, data centers, and talent.

Most of the funds in this financing, which has been in preparation for months, come from three major tech companies, with Amazon agreeing to invest $50 billion in this round, and Nvidia and SoftBank each investing $30 billion. A significant portion of Amazon's investment ($35 billion) is contingent on OpenAI's ability to go public or achieve a technological milestone in general artificial intelligence. OpenAI has raised over $3 billion from individual investors through banking channels for the first time.

OpenAI stated that the company currently generates $2 billion in revenue per month. Enterprise sales currently account for 40% of its revenue, and this proportion is expected to increase to 50% by the end of the year
