# China's AI Large Model Call Volume Surges Over 31% Week-on-Week, Surpassing US for Five Consecutive Weeks

According to calculations based on the latest data from OpenRouter, the total global AI large model call volume last week (March 30 to April 5) was 27 trillion tokens, up 18.9% week-on-week. Among the AI large models on the list, the weekly call volume of China's AI large models rose to 12.96 trillion tokens, an increase of 31.48% from the previous week; the weekly call volume of U.S. AI large models was 3.03 trillion tokens, a 0.76% increase week-on-week. China's AI large model weekly call volume has grown for five consecutive weeks and has surpassed that of the United States for five consecutive weeks. Last week, the top six models globally by call volume were all Chinese AI large models. Among the top three, two were Alibaba's Qwen 3.6 series models. Specifically, Qwen3.6 Plus (free) ranked first with a weekly call volume of 4.6 trillion tokens; Qwen3.6 Plus Preview ranked third with a weekly call volume of 1.64 trillion tokens.
