# Douyu CEO Chen Shaojie has been arrested, reportedly related to the live streaming channel "Changsha Rural Brave Team".

Doyu (DOYU.US) announced that its CEO, Chen Shaojie, was arrested by the Chengdu police around November 16th this year. It is stated that Chen Shaojie has been continuously detained and any legal proceedings and law enforcement actions against relevant parties may have a significant adverse impact on the company's reputation, business, and financial performance. According to industry rumors, the incident involving Chen Shaojie may be related to the "Changsha Rural Daredevil Team" in the Doyu live broadcast room. According to public media reports, the "Changsha Rural Daredevil Team" allegedly engaged in gambling activities using various lottery rules of Doyu. Users could participate in virtual currency lotteries worth 1,000 yuan to tens of thousands of yuan by purchasing designated props within a certain period of time. The "Changsha Rural Daredevil Team" then cashed out the winnings by purchasing an equivalent amount of virtual currency through third-party channels such as Alipay or "Backpack Merchant". (sl/k)
