# US Stock Options | NVIDIA, AMD trading surges! Alibaba, NIO calls remain hot

Last Friday, the three major U.S. stock indexes barely closed higher, with chip stocks outperforming the market.

### Overview of U.S. Stock Options Trading

The top ten U.S. stock options trading on that day were: Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, AMD, Amazon, Marathon Digital, Microsoft, Medical Properties Trust, Alibaba, and Meta.

Among them:

Tesla slightly declined, with options trading slightly rebounding to 2.08 million contracts, with 52.7% of the options being call options. Put options with a strike price of $237.5 and expiring on that day traded 185,000 contracts, while put options with a strike price of $240 traded nearly 70,000 contracts.

Nvidia rose more than 2%, with options trading surging to 1.69 million contracts, with call options accounting for 53% of the total. Call options with a strike price of $490 traded over 130,000 contracts.

Apple slightly declined, with options trading slightly falling to 1.1 million contracts, with call options accounting for 53.2% of the total. Put options with a strike price of $182.5 traded over 50,000 contracts.

AMD rose nearly 2%, with options trading increasing to 700,000 contracts, with call options accounting for 60.7% of the total. Call options with a strike price of $138 traded nearly 50,000 contracts.

Marathon Digital and Microsoft both had options trading exceeding 450,000 contracts.

Medical Properties Trust plummeted 29%, with options trading surging to nearly 430,000 contracts, with put options accounting for nearly 80% of the total.

Alibaba fell more than 2%, with options trading rising to 425,000 contracts, with call options accounting for 61.4% of the total.

NIO fell more than 2%, with options trading rising to 200,000 contracts, with call options accounting for 65% of the total.
