# Citigroup officially announces the appointment of Lu Xuan as President of Citigroup

On January 31st, Citigroup officially announced the appointment of Lu Xuan as President of Citigroup. He will lead the business development and operational management of Citigroup, promote client business strategic relationships, and oversee compliance. At the same time, Lu Xuan has also been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Citigroup.

Prior to this, Lu Xuan's relevant qualifications have been approved by the Shanghai Regulatory Bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.

It is reported that Lu Xuan is a veteran of Citigroup. He joined Citigroup in Shanghai in 2002 and has 25 years of banking experience.

Lu Xuan has held important positions in various business lines at Citigroup, including General Manager of the Commercial Banking Department, Head of Treasury and Trade Finance Department, Head of Payments and Financial Institutions Products, Chief Operating Officer of Global Banking in China, Head of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Industry in the Corporate Banking Department, as well as President of Tianjin Branch and Shanghai Branch.

In 2021, Lu Xuan was appointed as the General Manager of the Corporate Banking Department at Citigroup.
