# Hot discussion on WSB | Amazon, Apple, Meta Platforms, the three giants' earnings are coming soon

The S&P 500 ETF topped the popularity list, as the overnight release of the Fed's expectation of no interest rate cut in March, coupled with underperforming earnings from Alphabet-C, caused the Nasdaq to plummet by 2.2% and the S&P 500 index to fall by 1.6%, raising concerns in the market about the excessive gains in tech stocks.

AMD and NVIDIA ranked second and third on the popularity list, with AI chip stocks remaining the hottest targets in the market.

Microsoft ranked fourth on the popularity list. While Microsoft's performance was decent, market expectations were too high. It briefly turned positive during overnight trading but was dragged down by the broader market, closing down 2.7%.

Amazon, Apple, and Meta will announce their earnings reports after the U.S. stock market closes today, ranking eighth, ninth, and thirteenth on the popularity list, respectively.
