# Xiaomi patents using solar energy to charge smart rings and bracelets

According to the intellectual property information from Tianyancha, on July 23rd, Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. was granted a patent for "a wearable device". The abstract indicates that this application provides a wearable device, including a shell, a solar panel, a battery, and a control circuit board. The solar panel, battery, and control circuit board are all located inside the shell, with the solar panel and battery connected to the control circuit board. The shell is equipped with a condenser, which includes an incident surface and an exit surface, with the exit surface facing the solar panel. The wearable device provided in this application uses the condenser to converge light onto the solar panel, significantly increasing the amount of light shining on the solar panel and improving the utilization of light. Additionally, the wearable device provided in this application powers the battery by converting light energy into electrical energy through the solar panel to maintain the normal operation of the wearable device and improve its battery life
