# News reports that Tesla has confirmed orders with LGES to mass-produce 46,800 batteries in December

News has it that LG Energy Solution is set to mass produce 46,800 cylindrical batteries for Tesla in December 2024. Tesla intends to increase the shipment volume of Cybertruck and is also preparing for the launch of Model Y Juniper in early 2025, hence the request for LGES to start mass producing the 46,800 batteries
