# National Bureau of Statistics: In the next stage, the CPI prices will maintain a slight upward trend

On November 15th, Fu Linghui, spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that in October, the overall consumer price index for residents remained stable, with slight price increases in some areas driven by improved demand. In the next phase, China's grain production is expected to be abundant, and the supply of live pigs and fresh vegetables is generally stable. With the arrival of winter and New Year's Day, food prices may tend to rise steadily. For industrial consumer goods, aside from energy prices being significantly affected by international input factors, most products are in sufficient supply, and prices are expected to remain stable. The overall service supply is stable. As the economy recovers, it will drive the expansion of service demand, which will have a certain stimulating effect on service prices.
