# After an overnight surge, U.S. stocks in the quantum computing sector plummeted in after-hours trading!

Since Google announced a significant technological breakthrough in the field of quantum chips last week, U.S. stocks related to quantum computing have continued to soar, but the night trading today has generally plummeted.

On Thursday, December 19th, during the Asia-Pacific session, Quantum Computing (QUBT) fell nearly 12% in night trading, after a 52.95% increase overnight; Quantum Corporation (QMCO) dropped over 18% in night trading, following a 153.04% rise overnight; D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) fell nearly 4% in night trading, after a nearly 7% increase overnight; Rigetti Computing (RGTI) dropped 5.6% in night trading, after a nearly 4% decline overnight; Google-A saw a slight increase in night trading, but fell 3.59% overnight.

In addition to quantum computing stocks, Nukkleus (NUKK), which surged 327.53% overnight and skyrocketed 35 times this week, also dropped over 25% in night trading.
