NVIDIA's annual GTC developer conference will establish a "Quantum Day" for the first time, where management from quantum computing companies like D-Wave will attend alongside NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. This event will gather industry experts and leaders to discuss "the expectations of enterprises for quantum computing in the coming decades—mapping the path to practical quantum applications." On Monday, ahead of the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC), quantum computing concept stocks showed active performance. Among them, Quantum Computing stocks rose by about 15%, while D-Wave's stock price increased by nearly 8%. Over the past five trading days, D-Wave's increase even exceeded 130%. NVIDIA stated that it will announce the company's progress in the field of quantum computing at GTC, which will "shorten the timeline for achieving practical quantum applications." Previously, Jensen Huang had indicated that the advent of practical quantum computers would still take decades. Earlier this year, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Jensen Huang stated that it would take decades to develop truly useful quantum computers, which had previously led to a decline in quantum computing stocks. Jensen Huang pointed out: > If we say that a very useful quantum computer could be available in 15 years, that might be early. But if we say 30 years, that might be a bit late. I think many of us would prefer to believe in a 20-year timeline. Jensen Huang added that he hopes NVIDIA will "play an important role" in the development of quantum computers and push to achieve this goal "as soon as possible."
