據意大利廣播電視公司報道，美國與伊朗 19 日結束在意大利首都羅馬舉行的第二輪間接會談，並將在未來幾天內繼續進行對話。報道稱，美伊第二輪間接會談 “整體氛圍具有建設性”，雙方表示下週將進行第三輪會談。據報道，本次會談維持第一輪的間接會談方式。雙方代表仍是美國中東問題特使威特科夫和伊朗外長阿拉格齊。會談地點在阿曼駐意大利大使館，美伊代表在不同房間，由阿曼外交大臣巴德爾作為中間人在兩者之間傳遞信息。會談持續了 4 個小時左右。
