# IPG Photonics Q1 2025 Financial Results

IPG Photonics Corporation, a leader in high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers, has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, ending March 31. The company reported a mixed performance with some areas of growth and others facing challenges.

For the first quarter of 2025, IPG Photonics reported:

IPG Photonics experienced a decline in materials processing sales, which accounted for 86% of total revenue and decreased by 14% year-over-year. However, the company saw growth in medical and advanced applications, with other application sales increasing by 25% year-over-year. Regionally, sales increased by 8% in Asia but decreased by 12% in North America and 28% in Europe.

The company anticipates an adjusted gross margin of 36% to 38%, operating expenses of $86 million to $88 million, and adjusted earnings per diluted share in the range of -$0.05 to $0.25. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between $16 million and $31 million.
