# "Wood Sister" buys Taiwan Semiconductor, with the largest purchase scale in nearly a year

Cathie Wood's fund significantly increased its holdings in Taiwan Semiconductor ADR, with the purchase scale being the largest in nearly a year, indicating a shift from the "reduction" strategy that has been predominant since the third quarter of last year.

According to data compiled by Bloomberg, Ark Invest's flagship fund, Ark Innovation ETF, bought 123,587 shares of Taiwan Semiconductor ADR this Monday, while Ark Next Generation Internet ETF also increased its holdings by 74,189 shares. The total purchase scale of the two funds is equivalent to 87% of the shares held by the institution as of the end of March.

This purchase occurred after a brief "ceasefire" in the China-U.S. trade war, alleviating market concerns about escalating trade frictions. Additionally, U.S. President Trump recently reached multiple artificial intelligence cooperation agreements with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which are also seen as positive news—Taiwan Semiconductor, as an important supplier to NVIDIA, is expected to see further improvement in growth prospects.

Although Ark funds made a small-scale purchase of Taiwan Semiconductor in February, this operation represents the largest single-day increase since June 18, 2023, indicating a resurgence of confidence in the technology sector.
