# On May 26th, Tencent spent HKD 500 million to repurchase 979,000 shares

According to the announcement from Tencent Holdings (00700), the company repurchased 979,000 shares for HKD 500 million on May 26, 2025, with a repurchase price per share ranging from HKD 508.5 to HKD 516.

On the same day, 47,900 shares were issued as a result of exercising stock options under the 2023 stock option plan adopted on May 17, 2023
