According to data from Cox Automotive, General Motors' total sales in the U.S. have just surpassed 52,000 units so far. Sean Tucker, executive editor at Cox Automotive, said, "It's a very impressive vehicle. I love its design, but I tend to like anything that stands out. This certainly stands out." The futuristic design of the Cybertruck has certainly caught attention, but its appeal is limited, especially among truck buyers. The truck's specifications have also not met the levels Tesla promoted early on, and in some cases, even fall short of mainstream gasoline pickups. In just over a year, the company has issued eight voluntary recalls and has faced numerous quality and production issues. Considering all these factors, along with traction and payload capabilities below advertised levels and disappointing battery range, many truck buyers are taking a wait-and-see approach. Tucker said, "I think the problem they have with this design is that it doesn't deliver the functionality it should. Truck manufacturers often make design decisions based on what people have been using trucks for many years, and they determine what works best for trucks." The side of the Cybertruck's chassis is quite high, and the vehicle has a pyramid shape, making it difficult to load. Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated when launching the truck in 2019, "Trucks have been the same for a long time. Probably for about 100 years. Trucks are basically the same. We wanted to try something different." However, compared to most buyers of pickups, the appeal it creates is more likely to attract electric vehicle enthusiasts considering pickups or new models. Stephanie Brinley, associate director of S&P Global Mobility, said, "Electric pickups are a natural choice for automakers, especially American automakers. In terms of use cases and buyers' conservative mindset, it's also a tougher market." She added that truck buyers have made "great progress" in their openness and familiarity with pickup technology and other innovations over the past few years. But truck buyers still tend to favor tried-and-true models. RAM CEO Tim Kuniskis recently stated in an interview with CNBC that brand loyalty in this field is around 70-80%. A significant portion of truck buyers rely on their vehicles for work. Even off-road and recreational buyers expect trucks to meet their standards in towing, payload, and overall performance Blinley said, "I believe these buyers also want more evidence, more evidence that it will do everything they need it to do." ### 相關股票 - [Tesla (TSLA.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/TSLA.US.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Short TSLA Daily ETF (TSDD.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/TSDD.US.md) - [Direxion Daily TSLA Bull 2X Shares (TSLL.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/TSLL.US.md) - [AXS TSLA Bear Daily ETF (TSLQ.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/TSLQ.US.md) - [XI2CSOPTSLA-U (09366.HK)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/09366.HK.md) - [XL2CSOPTSLA (07766.HK)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/07766.HK.md) - [XI2CSOPTSLA (07366.HK)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/07366.HK.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Long TSLA Daily ETF (TSLR.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/TSLR.US.md) ## 相關資訊與研究 - [Anthropic Reportedly Accidentally Leaks Certain Claude Code Internal Source Code](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281339600.md) - [SpaceX’s IPO might arrive sooner than you think](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/280670820.md) - [Tesla, Inc. $TSLA Shares Sold by BTC Capital Management Inc.](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281321406.md) - [Elon Musk 'Starved The Balance Sheet' At Tesla Post-IPO To Keep Employees Sharp, Says Former TSLA President McNeill](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/280773297.md) - [Tesla, Inc. $TSLA Shares Purchased by Silver Oak Securities Incorporated](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281170899.md)
