紐約，8 月 26 日（路透社）——投資公司 Fivespan Partners 已在紐約時報公司（NYT.N）普通股中建立了持倉，並計劃推動變革，知情人士透露，這是該報在三年內第二次面臨激進投資者。

Fivespan 的創始人 Dylan Haggart 和 Sarah Coyne 再次回到紐約時報，提出人工智能可以擴大媒體公司的訂閲基礎的建議，一位瞭解他們想法的人表示。2022 年，當他們是 ValueAct Capital 的合夥人時，他們在該媒體公司的活動中發揮了主導作用，敦促管理層將其產品捆綁以實現更快的增長。

彭博社首次報道了 Fivespan 的新持股情況，時間是在週二。

Fivespan 和紐約時報的代表均拒絕置評。

紐約時報的股價在週二開盤後上漲近 1%，自 2022 年 8 月 ValueAct 首次介入以來，已上漲 87%。

紐約時報表示，它已經在新聞編輯室中整合了人工智能，包括用於分析數據和幫助撰寫文章摘要。

紐約時報公司採用雙重股權結構，以確保編輯獨立性和長期戰略，A 類股份由公眾持有，B 類股份則由 Ochs Sulzberger 家族通過信託控制。Fivespan 由 Haggart 和 Coyne 於去年成立。兩人表示，他們計劃專注於投資中型公司，與管理團隊和董事會合作，幫助他們改善運營和資本結構。
